Originally from Geneva Switzerland, I made Vancouver my home in 2004 (I first came in 1996 but that’s beside the point).
Home ownership had always been very foreign and a really far-fetched idea; never part of my daily narrative and absolutely not in my infinite life game plan. All I ever knew was what I wanted my surroundings to look like. That is until I chose to make Vancouver my home.
My husband and I bought our home near Trout Lake in East Vancouver, and have enjoyed the process of renovation & design while creating our own ideal living space. About 10 years ago, we turned out front yard into a "square foot garden". I have loved sharing my renovation and gardening experiences with my clients and help them avoid, if possible, the same mistakes we encountered.
A few years later, my strong interest and curiosity about real estate in the Lower Mainland brought me to become an investor. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought this possible. From the excitement of being a landlord (and a few annoyances at time, I’ll admit) to the watching our investment grow, I have since then been able to assist our willing clients increase their portfolio. Let’s discuss this possibility and I’ll share the tips and experiences I’ve acquired along the way. Don’t let this achievable reality remain only a pipe dream!
I love real estate and I am passionate about finding the right home for my clients. Whether this process takes 1 week (believe me it has happened!) or over a year or more, I will be there through the whole process for you - advising and helping every step of the way. My thirst for knowledge is regularly quenched by attending mandatory professional training as well as my own selection of lectures, courses of subjects varying from urban development and planning, architecture & interior design/decor, gardening & landscaping to financial & budgeting updates.
Just like my friend and business partner Lisa, my community matters a lot to me, be it the professional or personal one.
I am currently sitting as the representative for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver for the First Shaughnessy Advisory Design Panel (The Panel is an advisory body authorized to make recommendations regarding development matters to Council, the Development Permit Board or the Director of Planning for the First Shaughnessy neighbourhood). Together with Lisa (so wonderful!), we sit on the Government Relations Committee for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver which focuses on keeping the voice of REALTORS®️ front and centre on important legislative issues and emphasizing the importance of home ownership to the economy at local, regional, provincial and federal government levels).............And yes, I copied these last two descriptions right out of Lisa’s bio because she wrote it so well!
But none of the above matters if I can’t share it with you, my beloved clients and all of the referrals you’ve been sending our way since I became your entrusted realtor, 13 years ago. You are the ones I learned the most from and the ones I am always so excited to see or hear from.
Thank you for your trust.
Let’s keep on growing together.
I consider myself lucky to have been born and raised in such a beautiful city as Vancouver. I have traveled the world extensively, and each time I return to Vancouver I realize that it is truly one of the most amazing cities in the world to live.
I have a diverse background including marketing, sales and service, business administration, project management and IT (information technology). This combination of skills and experience enables me to service my clients in a unique and successful manner.
Since 2006 I have been honoured with being a member of the Medallion Club. The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver recognizes the accomplishments of top producers every year through the Medallion Club. These achievers are in the top 10% and excel in combined MLS®️ listings & sales. I have my clients to thank for this success, as they continue to trust me with referring friends & family to me.
I am also passionate about heritage homes. My first renovation project was a 1910 craftsman styled home, then followed by a grand 1907 Edwardian house, and another 1912 Edwardian home. I love to pass on my experiences with tradespeople, as well as my varied resources and tips on doing such a renovation project. One of my my favourite parts of Real Estate is matching up a heritage home with the right new owner who will continue on conserving Vancouver's history.
Another important area of my personal business plan is investment properties. I really do "put my money where my mouth is"! I am a firm believe in investing in Real Estate in Vancouver & will be happy to share my insights & experience in this area. I love working with the numbers and helping others to figure out what really makes a great investment property. I am an experienced landlord and have lots of important tips & tricks that will save you a lot of headaches when renting your investment property.
For me it is important to give back to my community.
I have been on the Board for the Vancouver Heritage Foundation Board(focusing on the conservation, preservation and celebration of Vancouver's built Heritage), Saint James Community Square Board (non-profit Community Canter providing affordable space for community groups in Kitsilano), I was also the representative for the Real Estate Board for the First Shaughnessy Advisory Design Panel (The Panel is an advisory body authorized to make recommendations regarding development matters to Council, the Development Permit Board or the Director of Planning for the First Shaughnessy neighbourhood). Currently I sit on the Government Relations Committee for the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, which focuses on keeping the voice of REALTORS®️ front and centre on important legislative issues and emphasizing the importance of home ownership to the economy at local, regional, provincial and federal government levels.
